This May, Sea Lanes Brighton is proud to host an Artists Open House, showcasing the work of several talented local artists. From handcrafted jewellery and bold abstract paintings to hand-poured candles and revitalised furniture, the collection offers a diverse mix of creativity and craftsmanship.
MEET THE ARTISTS:
- Room Thirteen: Specialising in revitalising vintage furniture with bold, hand-painted designs, creating stylish pieces that blend seamlessly into modern interiors.
- Rose Honey Design: Handcrafted jewellery inspired by nature, celebrating its beauty and human connections through enduring, meaningful designs.
- Bouclé: Ben & Louise create hand-poured soy wax candles, diffusers, and blends, using only natural ingredients from their studios in East London and Brighton.
- Emily Portnoi: Brighton-based resin jewellery designer creating bold, one-of-a-kind pieces that combine geometric shapes, vibrant colours, and surprising materials.
- Ella Hobbis: Beginner painter drawing inspiration from the Wild West spirit and rich stories of music history, creating vivid and evocative works.
- Jack Smith: Handcrafted homewares made in a Brighton garden studio, using wheel-thrown and hand-built techniques with stoneware and occasional earthenware, often featuring layered, custom glazes.
- Xin Harper-Little: Specialising in mixed-media ink art, Xin’s figurative work explores themes of identity and culture, with her “Swimmers” collection capturing the serene connection between people and the sea.
- Zoë Neilson: Brighton-based abstract artist using movement, energy, and vibrant colours to evoke the classical elements in her dynamic paintings.
