Cancer Research UK and Marie Curie teamed up and headed down to the pool for Swimathon 2018 – thousands of swimmers, two great causes, one big charity challenge.

On Friday 27 April, Sea Lanes very own, Joe McNulty swam 10k in a relay team in memory of Bernadette McNulty for Cancer Research UK, Marie Curie & The Swimathon Foundation. Their Swimathon was completed at London Fields Lido as Bernadette loved to swim there.

Cancer Research UK, the world’s leading cancer charity dedicated to saving lives through research, was involved in Swimathon for the first time. Marie Curie, the UK’s leading charity for people with any terminal illness and their families, has been Swimathon's charity partner ten times since it launched in 1986 and has raised over £17 million for the charity through the event during that time.

Congratulations Joe and the team!
A challenge for everyone. A #SwimForAll
