- All the information required for pre-commencement planning conditions has been submitted to Brighton & Hove City Council and is either under review or approved
- Sea Lanes will be moving the current coastal vegetated shingle habitat to a permanent home and making significant improvements to it before work on the services and foundations of the swimming pool commences.
- The modular 50m swimming pool is being manufactured offsite in East Anglia and shall be brought to site for construction in early 2021, along with the changing rooms and plant room.

As part of the project enabling works, the current coastal vegetated shingle habitat – a very rare and valuable habitat – will be moved, improved, and enlarged.
