Project Progress

Work is underway to realise the vision of Sea Lanes and this page offers information on the progress made to date and what to expect next.

  • All the information required for pre-commencement planning conditions has been submitted to Brighton & Hove City Council and is approved
  • Sea Lanes has moved the coastal vegetated shingle habitat to a permanent home and made significant improvements to it
  • The modular 50m swimming pool is being manufactured offsite in East Anglia and shall be brought to site for construction in Autumn 2022, along with the changing rooms and plant room.
  • The pop-up buildings have been removed and work has started on the small business units to the North of the Volks Railway. To register your interest in a unit please email Ed Delandes at e.deslandes@flude.com

As part of the project enabling works, the current coastal vegetated shingle habitat – a very rare and valuable habitat – will be moved, improved, and enlarged.
