Situated on the beautiful beachfront in Brighton, East Sussex, the vision for Sea Lanes is to create the UK’s first national open water swimming centre.

At the heart of Sea Lanes is a 50m, 6 lanes, heated (heated to 19 degrees all-year-round) outdoor swimming pool, operated by South Downs Leisure.

Our vision is to act as a stepping stone to the sea, reviving competitive and recreational swimming, and create a happier and healthier community.

Swimmers are welcome to either pay-per-swim or become a member.

Membership

As well as unlimited swimming and discounted swim coaching at Sea Lanes, membership includes usage of Southwick Leisure Centre’s state-of-the-art gym facilities, plus general swimming at Wadurs Swimming Pool, which hosts a heated indoor 25-metre, 5 lane pool.

Accessibility

Accessibility was at the forefront of the development of Sea Lanes

Sea Lanes swimming pool has ramped access into the reception, level access throughout, accessible turnstiles, a Changing Places facility and accessible toilets.

Entry into the pool can be aided by a Oxford Dipper hoist, Roman Steps or steps in the side walls. Access to the beach has also been improved with a level pathway and beach mat.
